How does trimcloud work?

1. You provide trimcloud with minimal, read-only AWS credentials that allow us to do nothing but monitor your resource utilization. Read here on how to generate read-only AWS credentials. (We won’t have access to your data, read here for more about security & privacy.)

2. Using these secure credentials, we will monitor your AWS resources in all regions, and periodically check each one of them for their utilization history.

3. When we detect a resource that we consider idle, we let you know about it, either via an email or a Slack message.

How do I use trimcloud?

Start saving money in 3 simple steps:

1. Sign up

After creating your account + providing trimcloud with your READ-only AWS credentials, you will have minimal interaction with our platform. trimcloud integrates into your workspace.

2. trimcloud magic

trimcloud will use your AWS credentials to query for all your AWS resources and check their CPU utilization, database connection count and associations to inspect if they are idle or not.

3. Notifications

In your account, you specify whether you want to be notified by slack or email. Once every 24 hours we will send you a notification about your resources. If you have any idle resources, we will generate a unique link to access them.
